Suman Joshi

Founder and Managing Partner
Suman has intimate knowledge of commercial and investment banking having started his career in the sector in 1990. He held various senior positions with ANZ Grindlays and Standard Chartered Bank in India and Nepal for more than a decade. He moved on to become the founding CEO of Laxmi Bank where he completed 3 consecutive tenures during which he conceived, managed, and scaled various projects and subsidiaries for the bank. Suman is widely regarded as one of the most innovative and creative banking experts in Nepal. He received his education on Private Equity & Venture Capital from Harvard Business School.

Suman is constantly looking to push boundaries of existing financial and entrepreneurial landscapes in Nepal.

Nidhaan Shrestha

Investment Manager
Nidhaan has over 9 years of impressive track record encompassing sectors such as Banking, Energy, Petrochem, Fintech, Development & Management Consulting, M&A and Alternative Investments in Nepal, India, and the Philippines. He is an MBA graduate in Finance and Strategy from the Asian Institute of Management, Philippines and his educational qualification also includes Behavioral Economics, Finance and Marketing from Yale School of Management. He has been associated with organizations such as Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Ltd, NMB Bank Ltd, Meralco Powergen Corporation (Philippines), Manali Petrochem Ltd (India), and UNCDF. He is also the CEO of Foodmandu.

Arpan Khanal

Investment Manager
Arpan, CFA, started his career in the Investment Banking Division of J.P. Morgan. He moved back to Nepal appreciating the entrepreneurial opportunities and founded two Quick Service Restaurants, which he successfully exited in 2017. As an Investment Manager, Arpan manages the investment deal-flow, conducts valuation of companies & engages in preliminary negotiation, presents investment memorandum to the investment committee, monitors the performance of portfolio companies and is involved in their strategic decisions.

Arpan is also the Co-Founder and the Managing Partner of an equity research and investment management company, Khanal Pradhanang Investment Services. An ardent follower of Warren Buffet and Charlie Munger, he loves working on projects that lie at the intersection of investment, human psychology, and innovation.

Luja Mathema

ESG Officer
Luja Mathema has worked at the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) as a Gender and Social Associate which saw her working extensively to improve conditions of workers in brick factories through ground level interventions and policy dialogue with stakeholders. Her earlier work includes research and analysis on women’s health, education, and nutrition in South Asia with South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and legal challenges women face at the Forum for Women Law and Development (FWLD). She has a masters degree in Gender, Development, and Globalization from the London School of Economics and her educational qualifications also include a B.Sc. in International Relations from the same university. Luja co-ordinates ESG activities within TNA profile companies.

Sujan Shrestha

Finance Officer
Sujan qualified as an ACCA member in 2016. He has completed his MBA in Entrepreneurship from Westcliff University, California, USA. He started his career in an audit firm where he was involved in the audit and assurance of various government entities, financial institutions, manufacturing, and trading companies. He served mostly as the team leader and was also a crucial part of the team that consulted Citizens Bank International Limited to win the first prize in the Annual Best Presented Accounts (BPA) Award – 2015 distributed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal. He is desirous of contributing to the entrepreneurial space in Nepal. His primary responsibilities in the team include setting up the accounting and operating systems of the investee companies, supervising their accounts and finance departments, and monitoring their overall business.

Satish Khadka

Satish completed his MBA from Kathmandu University School of Management with a specialization in Finance. Over the years he has got involved in an audit firm, a startup incubation program, and has worked with startup companies helping them come up with their financial models, plans, valuation, and analysis. In his capacity, his primary responsibilities include financial analysis of companies, industry analysis, deck developments, financial modeling, and valuation.
