Suman Joshi

Founder and Managing Partner

Suman has intimate knowledge of commercial and investment banking having started his career in the sector in 1990. He held various senior positions with ANZ Grindlays and Standard Chartered Bank in India and Nepal for more than a decade. He moved on to become the founding CEO of Laxmi Bank where he completed 3 consecutive tenures during which he conceived, managed, and scaled various projects and subsidiaries for the bank. Suman is widely regarded as one of the most innovative and creative banking experts in Nepal. He received his education on Private Equity & Venture Capital from Harvard Business School.

Suman is constantly looking to push boundaries of existing financial and entrepreneurial landscapes in Nepal.

Niranjan Shrestha


Niranjan is a second-generation entrepreneur. He is the Executive Director at Laxmi Group – a business conglomerate with interests in confectioneries and dairy, automobiles financial services etc. He is a past president of Nepal Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum (NYEF) and is currently actively involved in Nepal chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organisation (EO)

Ajay B Pradhanang


Trained as an Engineer, Ajay leads family portfolio of businesses focussed largely in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Ajay plays an active role in several business affinity groups like Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum, Entrepreneurs’ Organization, and Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He is also a co-founder at Himalayan Climate Initiative.

Ajay Shrestha


Ajay is the Chairman and Managing Director of iCapital, which is an investment and holding company that invests in the Nepalese stock market and Small and Medium Size Enterprises (SMEs). Ajay completed his BBA and Masters in Management with a specialization in finance from Kathmandu University. Amongst his other initiatives, he serves as a Director at Kaffeine Foods Pvt. Ltd., which runs a chain of coffee shops around Kathmandu, and as a Director at Source Code Pvt. Ltd., which is an IT company focused in developing products for the financial sector. Ajay is current President of Nepal Young Entrepreneurs’ Froum (NYEF).

Amod Rajbhandari


After his undergraduate studies at Tufts University in the US, Amod started his career at Bloomberg News in New York. He then came back to Nepal in 2009 and joined Ace Development Bank as a Credit Analyst. In 2012, Amod obtained his MBA at the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford. Amod then joined InfraCo Asia in Singapore to work infrastructure projects in emerging countries in South and South-East Asia. Currently, Amod is the Chief Investment Officer of the Mercantile Group of Companies. He oversees the Group’s investments in the ICT, financial services, energy, and home improvements sectors.
